"Bridge Mountain Cloudscape" ~ Incredible cloud formations over Bridge Mountain within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, located along the outskirts of Las Vegas, Nevada. This was definitely one of those times when patience was rewarded. You just have to choose your spot and wait for the lighting and weather conditions to fall into place. Red Rock Canyon is a beautiful area just minutes from my home, and I am trying to do my part to help it gain the world’s attention that it deserves.
"Snow and Moon, Red Rock Canyon" ~ On a rare snowy day in western Las Vegas, I headed to the nearby Red Rock National Conservation Area to take some photos of the snow-covered mountains and foothills. I noticed where the path of the setting moon was heading, so I looked for a location and composition to capture the moon before it disappeared into the clouds that were rolling over the peaks. The result is one of my personal favorite photos of Red Rock.
"Modern Vegas III" ~ Vignette of Cleveland Clinic's chaotically beautiful Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in downtown Las Vegas. The undulating stainless steel covered structure was designed by the master of deconstructivist architecture, Frank Gehry.
