"Lismore Castle" ~ Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland, as viewed from the bridge over the River Blackwater. The castle was built in 1185 for Prince John of England while Ireland was under the rule of his father King Henry II. However, the current appearance of the castle is primarily due to significant architectural renovations in the mid-1800s under the watch of the 6th Duke of Devonshire. "North Shore Seascape" ~ In the late summer of 2010, I had the amazing opportunity to spend a week on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Kaua'i. One day along the way to a kayaking tour in Hanalei Bay, my friends and I made a brief stop at the Kilauea Point National Wildlife refuge to check out the historic lighthouse. On the walk back to the car, I noticed this beautiful vista of the north shore of Kaua'i, looking westward toward Princeville. The cloud formations over the mountain with mid-morning lighting was simply perfect. More often than not, it's the shots that I don't plan for that end up being the "keepers."
"Clogher Cove" ~ Sybil Head and the triple peaks known as the Three Sisters appear beyond the cove at An Drum, as viewed from near Clogher Head. The small white specks on the peninsula are sheep, while the larger specks in the distance are houses. This multi-frame stitched photo has an aggregate size of 48 megapixels.
