Argyle Tower

The Lang Stairs lead up to the 19th century Argyle Tower which sits atop Edinburgh Castle's Portcullis Gate. Note the difference in stones used in the Argyle Tower on the left versus the 16th century construction of the Forewall Battery on the right. The tall spire of The Hub stands prominently amongst Edinburgh's Old Town.
