"Lismore Castle" ~ Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland, as viewed from the bridge over the River Blackwater. The castle was built in 1185 for Prince John of England while Ireland was under the rule of his father King Henry II. However, the current appearance of the castle is primarily due to significant architectural renovations in the mid-1800s under the watch of the 6th Duke of Devonshire. "West Tower of Kilkenny Castle” ~ The west tower of Kilkenny Castle, with the south tower shown beyond. The south tower is known as the Parade Tower and is the largest of three original towers, all of which date back to 1213. The gatehouse was fit into the curtain wall between these two towers in the 17th century.

"Kilkenny Castle on the River Nore" ~ Kilkenny Castle dates back to 1213 when it was built on the River Nore for the 4th Earl of Pembroke. The castle was later owned by the Butlers of Ormonde for over six centuries until abandoning it during the 1930’s depression. The Butlers were Earls, Marquesses and Dukes. The 6th Marquess and 24th Earl of Ormonde eventually sold the castle to the government in the 1960s for the token amount £50 so that it could be restored and opened to visitors.

“Ross Castle Lakeview” ~ 15th century Ross Castle on the shores of Lough Leane in Ireland’s Killarney National Park.

“Ross Castle Glory” ~ Built in the late 1400s, Ross Castle is set upon a hill within the majestic Killarney National Park, overlooking the Lough Leane in County Kerry, Ireland.

"Clogher Cove" ~ Sybil Head and the triple peaks known as the Three Sisters appear beyond the cove at An Drum, as viewed from near Clogher Head. The small white specks on the peninsula are sheep, while the larger specks in the distance are houses.

"End of the Road" ~ Rough seas at the end of the road at Coumeenoole Beach on the Dingle Peninsula. A seal was spotted swimming in the rolling surf moments before.

“Slea Head Crucifix” ~ A major landmark along the Slea Head Drive is this Crucifix at Slea Head (Ceann Sléibhe in Irish). It marks the boundary between two Church Parishes – Dingle Town Parish & the Parish of Ballyferriter – and has been named the "Cornerstone of the Peninsula". Funded by an Irish-American Lawyer who was a relative of a local priest, the Crucifix was erected at the site Pre-1960's.

"Valley of Gravestones" ~ Graveyard at St. Kevin's Monastic City in Glendalough Valley, County Wicklow, Ireland.
